Bridge Inspection Assistant

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site internship role for a Bridge Inspection Assistant based in Hutto, TX. The role includes assisting licensed engineers or certified Team Leaders with bridge inspection projects and field assessments, documenting findings through detailed reports, and ensuring compliance with industry safety standards. Responsibilities also include learning and applying inspection techniques, operating tools and technology used during inspections, and supporting the team with project planning and execution.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of structural engineering principles and practices
• Experience or coursework related to structural analysis or concrete materials
• Proficiency in using tools for data collection and documentation
• Strong observational skills and attention to detail
• Effective oral and written communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively on-site and adhere to safety regulations
• Current enrollment in an accredited Civil or Structural Engineering program
• Previous fieldwork or internship experience in related fields is a plus
• Willingness to work outdoors under varying conditions
